I offer non-clinical support for parents whose children may not meet criteria for a mental health disorder, or whose child is in therapy with a different provider but would like to learn strategies to better support their child. Parent coaching can be helpful for parents of kids of all ages, from toddler to teenager!
If you would like to learn more about behavioral parenting principles and how to apply them to your child's specific situations, then parent coaching may be a great fit for you. Parent coaching tends to involve a lot of education, homework assignments, and troubleshooting of applying new strategies to your family. It can also be a great way for co-parents to align on goals and strategies for parenting their children. Note: parent coaching is not psychotherapy. It does not involve diagnosis or mental health treatment, and it is not eligible for insurance billing.
I customize this offering based on a family's unique needs. Some may benefit from weekly meetings initially, and then prefer to book time with me as needed to troubleshoot behavior plans or other issues. Others who already have a strong foundation in behavioral principles or who have taken a workshop with me previously may prefer to book time as needed for consultation. If you are interested or would like to learn more, please book a free 15-minute consultation with me.
